Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Terms governing use of this website.
Effective Date: May 10, 2026
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the website operated by The Sanders Firm, P.C. (“the Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing, browsing, or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, together with the Firm’s Privacy Policy and Attorney Advertising & Legal Disclosures, each of which is incorporated by reference.
If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, you should not access or use this website.
Purpose of the Website
This website is provided for general informational purposes only. It is intended to describe the Firm’s immigration practice, civil-rights foundation, legal perspective, and approach to rights-based advocacy, due process, and institutional accountability.
The website may include information concerning family-based immigration, green cards and permanent residence, citizenship and naturalization, removal and deportation defense, asylum and humanitarian protection, VAWA, U visas, T visas, employment and business immigration, waivers, appeals, motions, federal review, civil-rights matters, and related legal issues.
The content on this website is not legal advice and should not be relied upon as legal advice. The original Terms of Use correctly state that the website exists for general informational purposes and does not provide legal services unless and until a written attorney–client engagement agreement is executed. That principle remains controlling here.
Immigration matters are fact-specific. A person’s legal options may depend on immigration history, manner of entry, prior filings, prior denials, government notices, criminal or summons records, family relationships, travel history, work history, deadlines, removal history, admissibility issues, and agency or court action. No visitor should file an application, respond to a notice, travel, attend an interview, appear in immigration court, or make status-related decisions based solely on information contained on this website.
No Attorney–Client Relationship
Use of this website does not create an attorney–client relationship between you and The Sanders Firm, P.C.
Submitting information through a contact form, sending an email, calling the Firm, leaving a voicemail, downloading materials, reading website content, or otherwise communicating with the Firm through this website does not create an attorney–client relationship.
An attorney–client relationship is established only through a written agreement executed by both the Firm and the client. Until such an agreement exists, the Firm owes no duty of representation, confidentiality, legal advice, deadline protection, filing responsibility, or action on your behalf, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
This limitation is especially important in immigration matters, where deadlines may be strict and consequences may be severe. A website submission should not be treated as a substitute for legal representation or as confirmation that the Firm has agreed to act.
No Legal Advice; No Reliance
The content on this website may include discussion of immigration law, civil-rights principles, statutes, cases, agency procedures, policy issues, institutional practices, government notices, litigation strategy, or general legal concepts. Such content is provided solely for general informational purposes.
You agree not to rely on any information contained on this website as a substitute for obtaining legal advice from qualified counsel regarding your specific facts and circumstances. The Firm expressly disclaims liability for actions taken or not taken in reliance on website content.
The prior Terms of Use included this same no-reliance limitation for civil-rights and institutional-accountability content. That limitation should remain and be expanded for immigration matters because even general information about eligibility, filings, interviews, waivers, removal defense, or humanitarian protection may not apply to a visitor’s specific record.
Immigration Deadlines and Urgent Matters
Immigration matters may involve strict deadlines, including deadlines for requests for evidence, notices of intent to deny, appeals, motions, immigration-court filings, hearing dates, USCIS interviews, ICE check-ins, consular-processing steps, biometrics appointments, and responses to government correspondence.
The Firm does not guarantee that a website submission, email, voicemail, or online inquiry will be reviewed before any deadline. You remain responsible for protecting your own deadlines unless and until the Firm has agreed in writing to represent you.
If you have an upcoming immigration court date, removal order, detention issue, USCIS interview, ICE appointment, response deadline, appeal deadline, or other urgent matter, do not rely solely on a website submission. Seek legal advice promptly.
Permissible Use of Website Content
You may access and view this website for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes. You may not use the website or its content in any manner that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, deceptive, or inconsistent with these Terms of Service.
You agree not to:
reproduce, republish, scrape, extract, aggregate, or commercially exploit website content;
use automated tools, bots, crawlers, data-mining systems, artificial-intelligence tools, or similar technologies to access, copy, train on, summarize, or collect website content without express written permission;
misattribute the Firm’s content or present it in a false, misleading, incomplete, or distorted context;
interfere with the security, integrity, accessibility, or functionality of the website;
submit false, deceptive, abusive, or bad-faith inquiries;
attempt unauthorized access to website systems, forms, databases, hosting platforms, or administrative functions;
use this website to transmit malware, spam, or unlawful content.
Unauthorized use of this website may result in termination of access and potential legal action. This section builds from the original Terms of Use provision limiting website use to lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes and prohibiting scraping, automated collection, misleading use, interference with security, and bad-faith submissions.
Intellectual Property Rights
All content on this website, including text, design, graphics, logos, images, layout, original legal analysis, commentary, practice-area descriptions, attorney-profile content, blog posts, and related materials, is the property of The Sanders Firm, P.C. or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual-property laws.
Limited use of non-substantial portions of content may be permitted under the doctrine of fair use for non-commercial purposes, provided that such use is properly attributed, unaltered, and not presented in a false, misleading, incomplete, or deceptive manner.
Any other use requires prior written consent from the Firm.
Nothing in these Terms of Service grants any license, ownership interest, or right to use the Firm’s intellectual property except as expressly permitted. The original Terms of Use properly preserved the Firm’s ownership of website content and limited any use beyond fair use without written consent.
Submissions and Communications
Any information you submit to the Firm through this website is deemed non-confidential unless and until an attorney–client relationship has been established through a written engagement agreement.
You agree not to submit sensitive, confidential, privileged, or highly personal information through this website before the Firm has agreed in writing to represent you or has specifically requested such information.
This includes, but is not limited to, information concerning immigration status, prior removals, unlawful presence, arrests, summonses, criminal history, domestic violence, trafficking, asylum claims, family conflict, employment issues, government notices, court dates, or other sensitive matters.
The Firm reserves the right, but has no obligation, to review, retain, respond to, or act upon submissions. The Firm may delete unsolicited communications at its discretion, subject to applicable law and professional obligations.
Contact Forms and Built-In Website Forms
This website may include a contact form or consultation-request form. Submission of a form does not create an attorney–client relationship. A form submission does not mean that the Firm has agreed to represent you, reviewed your matter, accepted your deadline, or undertaken any obligation to act.
Form submissions may be transmitted through third-party hosting, email, security, spam-prevention, or form-processing systems. The Firm cannot guarantee that every form submission will be received, reviewed, or responded to.
Do not use a general website form for emergencies. Do not assume that submitting a form protects an immigration deadline, court date, filing deadline, appeal period, or response deadline.
Third-Party Links and Content
This website may contain links to third-party websites or resources, including government agencies, courts, legal resources, professional organizations, or informational materials. Such links are provided for convenience only.
The Firm does not control, endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for the content, accuracy, security, privacy practices, or operation of any third-party website.
Your access to third-party websites is at your own risk. This limitation is particularly important in immigration matters because agency forms, filing fees, policy guidance, addresses, instructions, procedures, processing times, and legal requirements may change without notice.
Website Availability and Security
The Firm makes reasonable efforts to maintain website availability and security but does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access. The website may be modified, suspended, restricted, or discontinued at any time without notice.
You agree that your use of the website is at your own risk. The Firm is not responsible for damages arising from technical failures, outages, security incidents, unauthorized access, interrupted service, data loss, or inability to access the website beyond the Firm’s reasonable control.
The original Terms of Use included the same limitation regarding availability and security, and it remains appropriate here.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Sanders Firm, P.C. disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or other damages arising from or related to your access to, use of, or inability to use this website.
This includes, without limitation, damages arising from reliance on website content, failure to obtain legal advice, missed deadlines, electronic communications, form submissions, technical failures, third-party links, unauthorized access, or any alleged misunderstanding concerning whether an attorney–client relationship was created.
This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability and even if the Firm has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
No Warranties
This website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The Firm makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the website or its content, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
The Firm does not warrant that website content reflects the most current law, policy, agency procedure, court rule, filing requirement, or government practice. Immigration law and agency procedures may change, and website content may not immediately reflect those changes.
Governing Law and Venue
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to the use of this website shall be brought exclusively in a state or federal court located within the State of New York, and you consent to such jurisdiction and venue.
The original Terms of Use selected New York law and New York venue for website-related disputes. That provision should remain unchanged.
Modifications to These Terms
The Firm reserves the right to modify or update these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be effective upon posting to this page.
Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms of Service.
Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with the Firm’s Privacy Policy and Attorney Advertising & Legal Disclosures, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Sanders Firm, P.C. regarding your use of this website.
These Terms do not modify any written engagement agreement between the Firm and a client. If you become a client of the Firm, the written engagement agreement and applicable professional obligations will govern the attorney–client relationship.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
